Kiss My Creativity, Un-Rebels!

I was today years old when I found out that one of the most triggering sentences I’ve heard in my life wasn’t even the full quote.

For years I heard:
“Jack of all trades, master of none.”

As someone who loves art, design, travel, philosophy, nature, jewelry, spaces, learning, creating, experimenting, and generally refusing to fit neatly into one box, it always felt like an accusation.

Today I learned that’s not even the full story. It turns out the prosecution was withholding evidence this entire time!

Did you know that the full quote actually is:
“A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”?

Well.
That changes things.

Maybe some of us weren’t designed to spend our lives becoming one thing.
Maybe some of us are here to explore, connect, create, curate, learn, and evolve.

Maybe breadth isn’t a flaw.
Maybe curiosity isn’t a weakness.
Maybe being a Renaissance woman is still a thing.

Maybe I’m finally giving myself permission to stop apologizing for it.
Maybe some of us were never meant to squeeze our life-force into one box after all.
